Global construction company AECOM, is calling on suitable engineering students who are interested in qualifying for its Bursary Programme offerings for its 2020 intake. Be sure to review the programme’s minimum eligibility criteria if you’re qualified to submit an application.
AECOM is a US-based multinational engineering firm with close to 87,000 employees around the world and about $20.2 billion in revenues during the 2019 fiscal year. It is ranked by Fortune magazine as one of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” for six (6) straight years. AECOM was also Engineering News-Records’ first placer in its Top 500 Design Firms list in the Transportation and General Building category.
AECOM South Africa Bursary Programme
In accordance with its commitment to developing excellence, skills and experience in the engineering sector, AECOM SA provides bursary support to deserving and topnotch students pursuing their careers in the engineering sector.
Currently, bursary support is available to students in the following fields of study:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Project Management
- Quantity Surveying
The bursary programme awards a fixed amount which is reviewed each year and will cover tuition fees and book expenses. Bursary support will be available depending on the beneficiary’s academic performance and will be subject for review should grade average fall below the required 65%.
Who should apply?
Candidates need to satisfy these minimum qualifications to be eligible for consideration:
- Must be able to comply with the admission requirements for any of the fields of study mentioned above
- Will be enrolling for full-time studies
- Must perform academically
- Driven and passionate about pursuing a profession in the built environment
- Preferably achieved a 70% average mark in Mathematics and Science and 65% in first year of tertiary education
