Established in 1928 with the merger of the Thomson-Houston Electric Co. and Société Alsacienne de Constructions Mécaniques, Alstom is a global company involved in the rail transport sector, particularly in the areas of passenger transportation, locomotives and signalling. Alstom Engineering Graduate Programmes

The successful candidate will be part of Gibela Transport Rail, which is offering a number of graduate programmes in the following areas:

  • Testing and Commissioning
  • Maintenance Engineer
  • Sub-systems Engineering (for Reliability Growth)
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Process and Manufacturing Engineering (PME)
  • Help Desk Technician
  • Methods Engineer
  • Warranty Trainee Technician

Who should apply?

Make sure to review the minimum eligibility requirements of the graduate programme you wish to apply for:

Testing and Commissioning, Help Desk Technician, Maintenance Engineer

  • Holds an ND or BTech qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or any relevant qualification

Sub-systems Engineering (for Reliability Growth)

  • Holds a BSc qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or any relevant qualification

Continuous Improvement

  • Completed an ND or BSc in Industrial Engneering or any relevant qualification

Warranty Trainee Technician

  • Completed an Engineering Trade S4

These general/behavioral/skill requirements apply to all

  • A South African citizen between 18 and 35 years
  • Outstanding English communication skills
  • No prior work experience
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office tools
  • Positive, passionate and self-reliant
  • High level of integrity, honesty, respect and teamwork

What is the selection process?

No deadline for submission of applications has been set for Testing and Commissioning.
