Ampath Laboratories is currently looking for highly qualified individuals who are interested in submitting an application to qualify for its upcoming Phlebotomy Learnerhsip Programme for 2020.

Ampath Laboratories is a leading South African pathology laboratory that provides a comprehensive range of clinical analysis services to various sectors that include the government, insurance firms, managed health care and industrial corporations. The comprehensive range of services Ampath covers all major fields of pathology including but not limited to:

  • Histopathology
  • Allergy immunology
  • Genetics
  • Haematology
  • Microbiology
  • Chemical Pathology
  • Occupational and  industrial services

Ampath Phlebotomy Learnership 2021

The successful applicant will enter into a contractual and performance-based agreement with Ampath as a Phlebotomy Technician whose primary responsibility is to collect blood and other non-blood samples.

In-classroom training will be held in Centurion, Pretoria. Practical training, on the other hand, will be done in any Ampath depot operating within Gauteng province.

Who should apply?

Only candidates who possess the following minimum requirements are eligible to apply for this learnership:

  • Holds a valid leaving certificate from grade 12 with subjects in English, Maths literacy,
  • NQF Level 3 English
  • NQF Level 3 Maths Literacy/Mathematics
  • Exceptional English communication skills
  • Solid customer service skills
  • Amenable to getting a psychometric assessment

  • How long will it take to complete the learnership programme?
    The learnership will run for a period of 24 months.
  • Where will the internship take place?
    The successful candidate will attend a classroom training session in Centurion, Pretoria while practical training will be in any Ampath depot in Gauteng.
