The BBD IT Bursary Programme is awarded to students who intend to pursue a career in software development. The courses covered by the bursary programme include:
- Computer Science
- Computer/Software Engineering
- Information Technology
Who should apply?
The ideal candidate must be able to meet these basic qualifications in order to be considered eligible to join the programme:
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID
- Planning to pursue or already pursuing any of the prescribed IT qualifications at a recognized South African university
- Solid written and spoken English communication skills
- Great passion for innovation

- Academic performance
- Financial need

- What is the coverage of the BBD IT Bursary Programme?
The bursary will contribute to cover the cost of university. Bursars are also given a monthly allowance to cover any other school costs incurred.
