BDO: People and Culture Administrative Internship 2019

BDO South Africa is calling on qualified parties to apply for its People and Culture Administrative Internship Programme for 2019. BDO (Binder Dijker Otte) is a global network of firms providing tax, public accounting, business advisory and consulting services. BDO People and Culture Administrative Internship Programme

The selected candidate for the People and Culture Internship Programme will be awarded a fixed-term contract, working out of BDO SA’s Cape Town office. The selected intern will be reporting to the People and Culture Senior Manager and will carry out a range of administrative tasks including support for the People and Culture Department’s day to day activities. These duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Provide assistance in shortlisting candidates applying for junior positions
  • Set interview schedules
  • Provide assistance with onboarding new hires
  • Welcome new hires on their first day, including collecting outstanding documentation and introducing them to their respective teams
  • Confirm visa letters and employment letters or when needed
  • Create and manage files and records of candidate interviews, existing employees, and employees leaving the company
  • Provide assistance in answering job vacancy queries
  • Perform administrative support to People and Culture senior officers regarding requests and presentations
  • Record minutes in P&C team meetings
  • Make sure employee information is updated in HR database
  • Perform Transactional Employee Wellness tasks when needed
  • Provide assistance with vendor and logistics planning and sourcing quotes
  • Schedule meetings for the P&C team and communicate with relevant assistants to confirm availability
  • Work with Finance Team on timesheet violations and communicate warnings and reminders as needed
  • Process termination documents and complete related HR procedures including communication with the payroll team

The People and Culture Administrative Internship is for a fixed-term. BDO does not guarantee permanent employment at the end of the internship programme.
