The SAP BW Graduate role is based at Dis-Chem’s Midrand head offices and will have the successful candidate provide support to relevant stakeholders with queries regarding SAP BW while ensuring its integrity and functionality.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Perform routine tests on the SAP system as per business requirements
  • Execute BW projects according to available information snf business needs
  • Provide assistance with designing training materials
  • Provide assessment of business needs and confirm accuracy of report results prior to delivery to relevant stakeholders
  • Perform support functions by addressing queries from the Head Office and stores
  • Attend to SAP BI queries from Dis-Chem stakeholders e.g. head office staff, store, directors, managers, consultants, and auditors
  • Generate new BM reports with required information as needed
  • Establish specifications for new reports as per business requirements
  • Provide assistance to various areas of the business for improved reporting
  • Conduct and document testing of these improvements, reports, and enhancements

Who should apply?

You need to meet the role’s minimum eligibility criteria listed below to apply:

  • Holds a BCom/BSc degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems, BSc Information Engineering, B Comp/Info Sciences
  • A SAP BW certification is a big advantage
  • Knowledgeable with SAP BW
  • Able to find come up with solutions to possible issues, including when and who to escalate to when needed
  • Able to express facts and ideas in writing using easy-to-understand language
  • Acknowledges the importance of, and follows procedures
  • Creates a constructive working environment that values cooperation, mutual respect, and acceptance
  • Knowledgeable with MS Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access), BI, and SQL
  • A South African citizen with no derogatory credit or criminal record
  • Owns a reliable transport and valid driver’s license
  • Amenable to providing support beyond regular work hours
