Dow Jones News Internship Programme
The Dow Jones News Internship Programme offers a good opportunity to acquire industry experience at one the foremost business publications in the world. This will also allow the successful candidate to work with a team of expert correspondents.
Furthermore, the chosen intern will gain experience in covering critical economic indicators, interest-rate decisions and organizational earnings by the South African Reserve Bank as well as create news and feature content for the Journal’s online and print editions.
This is a paid internship programme which runs for a period of 6 months with a three-day work week.
Career Options
The Dow Jones News Internship is a fixed term contract and does not guarantee permanent employment at the end of the 6-month internship period.
Requirements or Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:
- Must have a particular interest in economic and financial journalism
- Good knowledge of political and local news in South Africa
- Must be able to provide some writing samples
- Fluency in at least three South African language is a plus
- South African residents preferred
