ERM Group Bursary Programme 2020

The ERM Group in South Africa is calling on suitable candidates who are interested in joining the organization’s Bursary Programme offering for 2020. Read on to get essential information about this bursary opportunity as well as the bursary provider.

The ERM Group is a premiere provider of environmental, safety, risk, social consulting, health services and services relevant to promoting sustainability. The ERM works with various leading global organizations with breakthrough solutions and assisting these companies to manage and understand sustainability challenges. In order to achieve these goals, the ERM Group operates over 160 offices in more than 40 countries backed by a workforce of over 5,500 employees.

In South Africa and the rest of Africa, the ERM has been servicing major mining, construction and industrial projects for more than forty years. With its SA offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, the ERM Group offers various combinations or social, business and environmental consulting skills such as compliance, climate change, due diligence, resettlement and social performance, to name a few.

ERM Group SA Bursary Programme

The ERM Bursary programme is awarded to qualified students pursuing a post-graduate degree, preferably those completing a degree in the engineering field, natural science, earth science, economics or social sciences.  The bursary opportunity is also given to qualified applicants currently pursuing an undergraduate degree programme related to the ones mentioned earlier.

Who should apply?

The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered into the programme:

  • Must be unemployed and keen on furthering their education
  • A post-graduate student looking to complete a qualification at a recognized and reputable higher education, or
  • A student currently completing a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Must be able to submit an essay based on specific topics listed below

What is the selection process?

An important selection criteria that need to be met is to pick an essay topic from the options listed below which consist of departments within ERM. Your completed essay will be sent together with the application and supporting documents.

How do I apply?

Prepare the following documents for submission:

  • A certified true copy of identification documents
  • Transcript of latest academic results
  • Required essay (3,000 words max)
