Founded in 1955 in Canada as W.S Atkins and Associates, the company started out tunneling subways and conducting civil engineering works. The company added metallurgy services three years later when Gerry Hatch became part of the company. After a series of expansions, Hatch now offers consulting, technologies, operations support, process design, and construction and project support to various clients in the mining and metals, infrastructure and energy sectors.

Hatch offers its services in more than 150 countries locations with about 9,000 employees. One of its main offices operates out of South Africa.

The successful candidate will be part of the company’s Project Delivery Group. The PDG makes use of its tech capabilities to assist clients realize their business goals. It also works to make project delivery is constantly world-class.

Who should apply?

A number of minimum requirements must be met in order to considered eligible for the position:

  • Completed qualification in N6 Mechanical Engineering within the last 24 months
  • Currently pursuing a Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP) qualification or have finished the same within the last 24 months
  • Must have a grade point average of 65% or higher
  • Work experience must not be over 12 months
  • A South African citizen
