Based in Johannesburg, In On Africa, or IOA, is a research, publishing and advisory firm with a particular focus on Africa. The company has been in operation since 2007 employing over 300 consultants and working with a variety of strategic partners located all over Africa. The company is currently enjoying a sustained growth and is offering the IOA Marketing Internship Programme for 2019.

IOA Marketing Assistant Internship Programme 2019

In on Africa’s various internship programmes have been around since 2008 and have taken in over 200 interns from all over the African continent. IOA’s marketing internship is looking for graduates and students with a deep passion for Africa. Headed by In On Africa CEO, Jonathan Mundell, the internship programme will take in only three (3) applicants based in Johannesburg. The programme is designed to give interns hands-on experience in business strategy, marketing and development as they work with the IOA CEO.

The Marketing Assistant Internship Programme begins with a 1-week trial and ends with a performance appraisal. Successful interns will then be invited to join the actual internship programme. Although it is not a paid internship, any travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Career Options

An intern who has provided an outstanding performance during the internship programme will get a reference letter from the CEO himself. In addition, it is also possible to be offered an internship extension or perhaps even a paid position if the intern is truly exceptional.

Requirements or Eligibility

The IOA Marketing Internship Programme is open to graduate students, Honours, Masters and Doctor’s degree holders who have taken up the following disciplines:

  • Economics, Management
  • Marketing
  • Public Relations
  • Human Resources

In addition, candidates should have the following:

  • Strong passion for, and interest in Africa
  • Strong writing and researching skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Keen interest in acquiring relevant experience
  • Good academic record
  • Their own laptop
  • A healthy imagination
  • Effective time management skills
