Old Mutual Ltd. is calling on interested parties to apply for its Accounting Bursary Programme for 2019. Founded in South Africa in 1845, Old Mutual is an investment, insurance, savings and banking company with offices operating all across the African continent and around the world.
In 2017, Old Mutual had a customer base of over 12 million and with operational funds that amounted to R1.2 trillion. It is listed n the Zimbabwe, Namibia, London and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges.
Old Mutual Accounting Bursary Programme 2019
In Old Mutual’s commitment to creating more opportunities for the South African youth, it awards bursaries to deserving and qualified individuals. – young and promising talents who are intending to pursue a Chartered Accountancy career.
The selected bursars will receive financial support in the following areas:
- Full tuition costs
- One return flight home each year (when applicable)
- Residence fees (when applicable)
- General allowance
- Book fees
Students pursuing higher quality degrees will receive more incentives.
Full time employment is awarded based on Old Mutual’s employment standards.
Requirements or Eligibility
Applicants must meet the programme’s minimum requirements listed below to qualify:
- Completed matric with 70% minimum or Level 6 for all subjects
- Must pursue qualification at the following tertiary institutions:
- University of Stellenbosch
- University of Cape Town
- University of Pretoria
- Must be willing to commit to a CA Training Programme
- Must be South African citizens
