Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary Programme 2020 – 2021

Old Mutual is calling on suitable individuals who would be interested in sending in their application and possibly qualify financial support through the company’s Actuarial Bursary Programme.

Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary Programme

The  Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary offering is available to eligible and high potential students who are pursuing a qualification in Actuarial studies. As bursars, the successful candidates will receive the following benefits:

  • Full tuition fee coverage
  • General fees, books fees
  • Performance incentives
  • Emotional and academic counselling
  • Vacation work and networking opportunities during the second year of studies

In addition, candidates will be offered employment at the end of their university studies, coaching from a qualified and well-experienced actuary and an in-house rotation programme.

Who should apply?

Aspiring bursars will need to comply with these initial requirements in order to be considered:

  • A South African national
  • Must be an A student in Maths (not Maths Literacy) and received Bs in all other subjects during Matric
  • Must be taking up studies in the following higher education institutions
    • University of Stellenbosch
    • University of Cape Town
    • University of Pretoria
    • University of Witwatersrand
