PwC SA: Administrative Finance Internship Programme

The incumbent will be gain exposure in the financial sector, within the Internal Firm Services f the company. This will enable the Finance Intern to support PwC’s internal finance functions such as financial reporting and planning, data analysis and providing assistance to organizational leaders with overall strategy. Focus will be on capturing and analyzing financial transactions, receiving and paying invoices, managing ledger accounts of financial statements and preparation of analyzed and reconciled bills for fraud detection.

The administrative function of the Finance Intern is to support PwC’s engagement teams starting from the strategy to execution phase. The intern will need to successfully complete 18 months of related Workplace Learning to obtain a National Diploma qualification.

Furthermore, the intern will gain training and exposure in the following:

  • Financial Accounting
  • Management and Cost Accounting
  • Business Management and Entrepreneurship
  • Computerized Financial Systems

Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Appointment scheduling
  • Dealing with creditors and debtors
  • Petty cash management
  • Wage and salary journal management
  • Payroll and bookkeeping using pastel
  • Stock cards
  • Banking
  • Standard costing
  • Job cards
  • Using Excel spreadsheets

Requirements or Eligibility

To qualify for the PwC Administrative: Finance Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Completed Grade 12 with N6 Financial Management qualification
  •  ACI candidates in line with the company’s Transformation Agenda preferred but not a requirement
  • Computer literate
  • Effective communication skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Possesses keen eye for detail
  • Able to multi-task
  • Proactive and results driven
  • Highly analytical
