Rand Water is offering its Process Control Graduate Training Programme for 2019 to interested and qualified individuals based in Gauteng Province. Formerly known as Rand Water Board, this water utility company serves potable water to Gauteng and other parts of South Africa.
Rand Water is the largest water company in Africa and supplies clean water to local municipalities, mining and various industries. With a water network measuring 3,056 kilometers of pipelines and 53 reservoirs, the water utility company pumps 3.653 million liters every day to its many customers.
Process Control Graduate Training Programme 2019 at Rand Water
Rand Water’s Process Control Graduate Training m Programme at Rand Water seeks to expose trainees to work in the public sector, specifically in the water utility services. In addition, training programme is also a means of addressing the skills shortage in the aforementioned sector.
Through this graduate training programme, participants will gain valuable working experience with the latest technology in water treatment and management. Moreover, the selected trainees will get a chance to experience working in a variety of development projects and acquire professional and technical skills at the same time.
Graduate trainees who are able to successfully complete the programme may be offered full-time employment within the company based on a full performance assessment.
Requirements or Eligibility
To qualify as a Process Control graduate trainee, applicants must meet at least the following basic requirements:
- Completed a degree or National diploma in Water and Sanitation or Water Care, Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Must be a South African citizen under 35 years of age (in accordance with NSDS III)
- Applicants included in the Employment Equity Act
- Persons with disabilities are preferred
- With a valid South African ID
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Hard working, self-starter and results oriented
