Established in 1 October 1996, the South African Civil Aviation Authority, or SACAA, is the national aviation authority in charge of supervising civil aviation and overseeing investigations of aviation incidents and accidents. The SACAA is headquartered in Midrand, Johannesburg. Each year, it offers various internship opportunities that can allow graduates to acquire work experience. As of now, the SACAA is taking applications for its Civil Internship Programme.
Civil Infrastructure Internship Programme 2019
The SACAA’s Civil Infrastructure Internship Programme is a 12-month internship programme is designed for Civil Infrastructure graduates who possess Civil Infrastructure qualifications. The selected intern will be given the opportunity of gaining real-world experience in Civil Infrastructure and even receive a monthly stipend.
Note that the selected intern will go through a comprehensive security vetting as mandated by the Civil Aviation Act 13 of 2009.
An intern who successfully completes the programme may be offered a position within the SACAA prior to an extensive performance and background assessment.
Requirements or Eligibility
Applications that do not meet the following minimum qualifications will not be reviewed:
- Must have a degree or diploma in Civil Infrastructure or any relevant course
- A South African citizen
- Solid academic record
