Traffic Officers Learnership Programme 2019

Located in the eastern region of South Africa, Mbombela is the capital city of Mpumalanga Province. In addition, the city provides a range of learnerships in order to generate more jobs for the unemployed South African youth, and an example of which is the Traffic Enforcer Learnership.

Traffic Officer Learnership Programme

The city of Mbombela is looking for individuals who would be interested in joining the city government’s learnership programme for traffic officers. The programme runs for 12 months and is offered specifically by the city’s Public Safety department.

The whole training process will be conducted according to the guidelines set by Act 93 of 1996 of the National Traffic Act. Participants will receive a monthly stipend of R 3 500 during the course of the learnership. Note that no other allowances or benefits will be due to the participants during the learnership period.

Career Options

Requirements or Eligibility

Applicants must meet the programme’s basic requirements in order for their applications to be considered for review. Listed below are the minimum requirements and competencies needed:

  • Must have completed Grade 12
  • Must not be older than 35 years of age
  • Must be physically fit and be able to undergo physical training
  • No existing or pending criminal record
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be a permanent resident of Mbombela
