Woodlands Dairy, the makers of First Choice, is calling on suitable individuals with an interest in growing a career in the dairy industry to submit an application and qualify for its Learnership Programme to commence in 2021.
Established in 1995, Woodlands Dairy is a popular packaging plant for milk that comes from Woodlands Farm and has expanded into one largest South African manufacturer of UHT milk. In addition to marketing the First Choice brand, the Gutsche family-owned company processes, manufactures and packages quality household dairy products for popular retailers such as Woolworths and Spar.
With an employee population of more than 1,400 individuals, Woodlands Dairy’s base of operations is in Humansdorp in Eastern Cape. Woodland Dairy’s range of products includes different kinds of cheese, cream, dairy desserts, ice cream, dessert toppings and ESL, or extended shelf-life milk.
Woodlands Dairy Learnership 2021
The Woodlands Dairy Learnership Programme covers the key areas of dairy processing and packaging including milk reception, nature of milk, CIP & COP, and lab testing, to name a few. Moreover, this programme aims to develop skilled, engaged, and empowered young people in the field of dairy products production and packaging.
This learnership is designed for matriculated students from in and around the local area. It also aims at retaining these candidates who are seeking employment elsewhere due to limited job opportunities in their area.
Who should apply?
When applying for the learnership programme, you must fulfill certain eligibility requirements:
- The candidates must be a citizen of South Africa
- The age limit should be from 18 to 23 years with Matriculation degree
- Applicants should NOT have previous work experience
