World Wildlife Fund (WWF): CAAP Internship 2022

The World Wildlife Fund for Nature is calling on qualified South African individuals to submit their application to qualify and take part in its upcoming Climate Ambition to Accountability Action Internship, or CAAP. Founded in 1961, the World Wildlife Fund for Nature is a global non-governmental organization campaigning for wilderness preservation as well as minimizing the effects of humans on the environment. It is the world’s largest environmental protection and conservation organization with a backing of more than five million supporters in over 100 countries around the world.

Since its founding in 1961, the Organization had invested more than US $1B to about 12,000 conservation efforts and provided support to approximately 3,000 environmental and conservation projects. It is WWF’s primary objective to put a stop to the degradation of our natural environment and strive for a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

 

World Wildlife Fund SA CAAP Internship 2022

The Climate Ambition to Accountability Project is a joint project between WWF South Africa, South African Climate Action Network and the Institute for Economic Justice with co-funding coming from the European Union. The CAAP Internship will run for a period of 12 months and will need to fill three positions.

The successful candidates will be under the supervision of a dedicated and well-experienced mentor. As a CAAP intern, the successful candidates will be heavily involved with building a Civil Society Organization. Climate Action Secretariat, facilitating youth boot camps and symposiums

Applicants will need to satisfy the following minimum qualification requirements in order to be eligible to apply:

  • Holds a postgraduate qualification
  • Genuine commitment to building a better and sustainable world for everyone
  • Eager for career growth in the environment
  • Must possess a record of outstanding professional and educational
